Suburb due-diligence
Hornsby (Inc. Hornsby Heights)
Here we provide feedback on Hornsby. You have access to our research, area maps, suburb data and sold properties for reference.
Our Thoughts
Hornsby is situated 24km North West of Sydney and is the gateway to the Central Coast. The local government area is Hornsby Shire.
Like Sydney as a whole, Hornsby and surrounding suburbs have experienced amazing capital growth over the last three years. However, it still remains affordable and sits within your budget which is most important.
Housing in Hornsby and surrounding suburbs is generally a mix of older style double brick homes with pitched tile roofs. Houses have great bones and generally sit on large blocks of land - leaving plenty of opportunities to extend, whilst also allowing enough room for young families to grow.
Supply in Hornsby is extremely tightly held, which can be a good thing - it does, however, mean that there is high demand for property in the area. With this being the case, we would not limit our search to just Hornsby, but to neighbouring suburb Hornsby Heights.
Typically properties in your price range require cosmetic improvements. We will not present properties that require structural renovations as your budget will not allow for this. We will identify these needs when presenting properties with a summary of the required works and estimate the cost associated with that. If we do progress and the renovations are something that you'd like to progress with, we would supply you with a full financial feasibility study.
